Terms of service

Last updated 2026-10-01

These terms apply to the appointment-scheduling service offered by RoConsulat.il ("we") through https://roconsulat-il.com. By sending us an appointment request you accept them.

In plain words: we are a private service that books your slot on the Romanian consulate's official website for you. We are not the consulate. You pay us 250 NIS only once a slot is booked in your name. We can't promise a specific date, and we can't influence the consulate's decision on your file.

1. Who we are — and who we are not

We are an independent, private service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of Romania in Israel or the consulates in Ramat Gan and Haifa. Our fee pays for our time, monitoring and guidance.

2. The service

For a flat fee we: (a) monitor the consulate's calendar and book the first suitable slot in your name for the service you requested (citizenship oath, first passport or passport renewal); (b) send you a screenshot from the consulate's website and the consulate's confirmation email as proof; (c) send you a checklist of documents for your appointment type and, for oath appointments, the text of the oath; (d) answer your questions on WhatsApp before and on the day of the appointment.

We do not provide legal advice, translations, apostilles, photographs, or the updating of civil-status records in Romania, and we do not represent you at the consulate.

3. Your obligations

  • Provide accurate details (name, address, phone, passport/ID) exactly as they appear on your documents. A booking made with wrong details may be refused by the consulate, and rebooking is charged as a rescheduling.
  • Confirm your availability before we book. Tell us about periods you cannot attend.
  • Bring all required original documents and follow the consulate's rules (dark clothing, originals only, both parents for a minor, etc.).
  • Attend the appointment on time. Missed appointments are the client's responsibility.

4. Fees and payment

  • Scheduling fee: 250 NIS per appointment, payable only after we have booked the slot and sent you the proof of booking.
  • Rescheduling at your request after a slot has been booked: 125 NIS.
  • Consulate fees (currently 220 NIS for passport applications and renewals) are set by the consulate and paid by you, in cash, at the consulate. They are not included in our fee.
  • The payment details are agreed with you privately, in the WhatsApp or email conversation in which we send you the booking proof. The scheduling fee is due within 48 hours of receiving that proof; we may cancel the booking if it remains unpaid.

5. No guarantee of dates or outcomes

Slots are released by the consulate and availability changes without notice. We book the first suitable slot and try to accommodate your preferences, but we cannot guarantee a specific date, location or waiting time. We have no influence over the consulate's decisions regarding your documents, citizenship file, or passport issuance, and we are not responsible for changes made by the consulate (cancellations, closures, changes of rules or fees).

6. Refunds and cancellation

  • If we are unable to book an appointment for you, no fee is due.
  • Once a slot has been booked in your name and the proof has been sent, the fee is non-refundable, because the service has been performed and the slot has been taken from the public calendar.
  • If the consulate itself cancels your appointment, we will rebook you once at no extra charge.
  • Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, or other mandatory law.

7. Liability

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount of the scheduling fee you paid. We are not liable for indirect losses such as travel costs, lost working days or missed deadlines caused by the consulate's decisions or by inaccurate information you gave us. Information on this website about consulate rules, fees and required documents is provided in good faith and may change; always check the consulate's official website.

8. Privacy

Your data is handled as described in our privacy policy.

9. Website content

The content of this website is owned by us and may not be copied for commercial use. Links to external sites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. We will try to resolve any dispute amicably first — write to ro.consulat.info@gmail.com.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page on the date you send your request.
